This is the 17th cruise we are running for people living with HIV. The cruise is open to men and women, gay and straight, as well as family and friends. Cabin shares available. Over 200 expected!
Sail from Fort Lauderdale on the Caribbean Princess to Falmouth (Jamaica), Cartagena (Colombia), The Panama Canal, Limon (Costa Rica), and Grand Cayman Island! Enjoy Four Fun–filled days at sea with special events. Or you can just relax. It's your Retreat to do as you please.
- This is the first time we are running a cruise longer than a week. We have chosen to do this in an effort to continue to provide new and different ports to those who participate.
- So far this, year we have over 100 signed up; we normally take somewhere between 150 and 200.
- On each cruise we plan some special fun events. We also have a private dining area each evening where our guests can mix and mingle. At each port, we will plan private excursions just for our group.
- We have people come from far and wide to participate.
- Rates begin at only $799 per person for an inside cabin plus $350.00 per person port tax. Your Cruise Retreat rate includes all your meals, basic beverages and entertainment. Our shipboard events and excursions are all private.
- Traveling solo? Fear not, as our cruises attract a large number of single travelers. We offer a cabinmate matching program to help keep your costs down, as a single occupancy cabin is up to double the normal rates.
- Perhaps the most significant thing about this group/cruise is that over the years, a true community has formed and many of the participants have been on 5 to 10 cruises. MANY lasting friendships have been formed, and several have even met their partners on board!
- The cruise was originated by my brother, Paul Stalbaum, who unfortunately passed away in August of 2020. I was invited to participate in a ZOOM memorial service that the group arranged upon learning of my brother’s passing. When I realized how much this annual cruise experience meant to everyone, I committed to continue the program. Last year we sailed from the Port of Los Angeles to Mexico. This year we are sailing from Fort Lauderdale.
