The European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID 2023), Copenhagen and online, 15-18 April
This year’s ECCMID congress will take place in Denmark’s capital Copenhagen from April 15-18, and present the latest news from all areas of infectious diseases.
This will include:
- The latest research COVID-19, including infection epidemiology, the impact of different vaccines, and manifestations of long COVID
- Research from the Mpox (monkeypox) outbreak that spread across Europe in Spring and Summer 2022
- The latest epidemiology and treatment news on bacterial, viral, and fungal and parasitic infections
- Antibiotics including new agents and the ongoing story of antimicrobial resistance
- How other infectious respiratory diseases have been impacted by COVID
- Healthcare-associated infections
- Basic science and experimental microbiology
In addition to the central congress program which covers 15-19 April, there are several pre-ECCMID congress days covering various themes (taking place on Feb 15, 16 and March 15, 16), and also two post-ECCMID days on 24, 25 May.
Bona-fide journalists can obtain a free media registration for the congress, for in-person or virtual attendance. Evidence regarding the nature of your organisation and proof that you are currently a journalist is required.
