This webinar will be presented by:
Zabrina Brumme, Ph.D
Lab Director, BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS
Professor, Faculty of Health Sciences, Simon Fraser University
At the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the mechanisms of HIV persistence, and strategies to quantify the HIV reservoir
- Review cases of HIV cure and ART-free viral load control achieved to date
- Describe the various strategies being pursued to achieve HIV cure or ART-free viral load control
- Discuss the promising results from recent HIV cure clinical trials
Presentations will be followed by a discussion where participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive real-time responses from presenters.
This event is accredited by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the British Columbia Chapter for up to 1 Mainpro+ credit.
