BOLIVIA TARGETS SEX WORKERS LIVING WITH HIV
September 26, 2013
A female sex worker, 25, and the mother of two children, working in Sucre and Potosí, Bolivia, has been given the sentence of house arrest because she continued to work after being diagnosed HIV-positive.
The Network of Female Sex Workers of Latin America and the Caribbean (RedTraSex) is calling the international community to support a "Regional Campaign against the Criminalization of Sex Workers who live with HIV in Bolivia", asking the authorities for her immediate release, and the government to respect the Human Rights of sex workers.
