This Forum will be held in partnership with the CWGHR Annual General Meeting and CWGHR 15th Anniversary Recognition.
The field of HIV and rehabilitation research is emerging, with Canada and the UK as leaders HIV rehabilitation research. Evidence suggests that rehabilitation has the potential to improve health and quality of life outcomes for people living with HIV. In industrialized countries, individuals are living longer and may be living with the health consequences of HIV, comorbidities and associated treatments. People living with HIV in the UK and Canada face similar issues, including challenges accessing rehabilitation services, social participation issues related to income and employment, and increasing concurrent health conditions faced by those aging with HIV.
