2014 Treatment as Prevention Workshop
April 1 - 4, 2014 | Vancouver BC
March 2014
The International HIV Treatment as Prevention (TasP) Workshop brings
academic, policy, industry, and community representatives together to review and discuss research and policy progress in the field of
HIV "Treatment as Prevention". Specifically, delegates review new data and identify priority areas for research and action related
to the impact of combination antiretroviral therapy (ART) use among HIV infected individuals on the transmission of HIV infection
and other relevant treatment outcomes.
The 2014 Treatment as Prevention Workshop is a single track meeting with daily plenary, debates, oral abstract,
and poster sessions. Each oral session has abundant time dedicated to open discussion, providing an opportunity for
participants to share their experience to date, as well as protocols, preliminary findings and future plans and
needs. Presentations are live streamed online via www.treatmentaspreventionworkshop.org and made available
online after the workshop. Open discussions are not recorded, however, and only delegates in attendance may participate.
This is the fourth International Treatment as Prevention Workshop. For materials from previous workshops, such as reports, session videos,
and poster presentations, please go to: 2014 Treatment as Prevention Workshop.
