Kaiser Family Foundation Launches Redesigned Kaiser Health News Website
October 27, 2014 - Menlo Park, CA - The Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) today announced the redesign of kaiserhealthnews.org, the nation's leading in-depth source for news coverage on health-care policy and politics. Launched in 2009, Kaiser Health News (KHN) is a nonprofit news service and an editorially independent program of the Kaiser Family Foundation.
The redesign makes the five-year-old kaiserhealthnews.org easier to read and navigate on desktop or mobile devices, with bigger and clearer fonts. In addition, the site will continue to feature KHN's daily summary of health care policy news, now renamed the KHN Morning Briefing. Still a comprehensive daily read for people who care about health policy, the KHN Morning Briefing (formerly known as the Kaiser Daily Health Policy Report ) is published online and distributed free via a newly formatted, mobile-friendly email.
"What hasn't changed since we launched in 2009 is our commitment to providing the deepest and broadest consumer-focused coverage -- at the federal and state level -- of subjects ranging from the Affordable Care Act to what's new in employer health plans, Medicare, Medicaid and the health industry," said John Fairhall, KHN editor in chief.
All original KHN content can be republished for free and many syndication options are available. KHN stories are published daily by major national and regional news organizations across the country including NPR, The Washington Post, USA Today/Gannett papers, and PBS NewsHour.
"Although our media partners remain our primary distribution model, the redesigned site provides a modern and effective platform to showcase all of KHN's work, and continues our longstanding commitment to explaining complex health policy issues to the public," said David Rousseau, who oversees KHN as KFF vice president and executive director of health policy media and technology.
Feedback about the new site is welcome.
Filling the need for trusted information on national health issues, the Kaiser Family Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Menlo Park, California.
