Homosexuality in Africa, has nothing to do with the West, or any other part of the world. Homosexuality exists in Africa the same as it does
everywhere, all around the world! Homosexuality has always existed and it will continue to exist, it is a part of nature.
Denying homosexuality exists, or voicing homosexuality comes from somewhere other than Africa; is not based on fact but moreover it is based
on ignorance, fear, and harmful religious beliefs by some that are being taught that do not support homosexuality. Many fear what they do not understand!
Making judgments, discriminating, based on sexual orientation.
How often we hear from those who spout their negative beliefs on homosexuality based on religionâ when what religion teaches us is that
we are here to love one another. How can you claim to Love when you are judging, discriminating against others?
The fact is we are all here together, connected! No one is separate from the other, although many see themselves as being separate, they
are not. Life is not of separateness, but of togetherness. If separation or judgment be made at all, there is only one consideration. Has an individual
received Love, or Lack of Love?
Life is not about lack, but of Love.
I want to be part of giving where there is lack. Providing Love, rather than more lack; replacing ones lack and fear, with Love. For us
to move ever forward in our experience we will move away from fear and separation.
I am fortunate to have grown up (I am now 60 years of age) with a foundation of Love. My homosexuality was accepted by both myself and
my family from the time I was a young boy and not something anyone in my family rejected, it was accepted.
Throughout my life, I wanted the same things that my Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, my parents, sisters, brothers and friends all wanted
to someday fall in love and get married. I am very fortunate to live in a country (Canada) where homosexuals have the same rights (Legalized in the 1960's)
as heterosexuals; which includes the right to marry. And in that, I am very happy to be married to a wonderful man for the past 13 years.
Our relationship is both recognized and excepted.
It is my part, connected to the whole, I give myself to LOVE. United in Love, we all move ever forward in it!
I am positively positive!
It is my sincere hope that the Nigerian Senate Same SEX Bill will be defeated.
