WHAT: The 8th IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment & Prevention (IAS 2015)
Experts from the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) will give oral presentations and exhibit a variety of educational posters and abstracts related to ending AIDS in children. Key sessions include:
- Monday, July 20, 4:30-6 p.m., Ballroom A: PMTCT Gaps and Next Steps
- EGPAF Senior HIV Technical Advisor Lynne Mofenson Co-chairing.
- Tuesday, July 21, 2:30-4 p.m., Ballroom B: Optimizing PMTCT Programme Implementation
- Using the critical path for rapid expansion and optimization of a PMTCT program towards elimination of new HIV infections in children. EGPAF Presenter: Reuben Musarandega.
- Improving early ANC attendance through community engagement and dialogue: project ACCLAIM in three African countries. EGPAF Presenter: Mary Pat Kiefer, Senior Director of Technical Leadership Development
- Wednesday, July 22, 2:30-4 p.m., Ballroom B: Implementation and Measurement to Improve Health Systems
o Has performance-based financing (PBF) accelerated progress towards controlling the HIV epidemic? An impact evaluation of Mozambique's HIV-focused PBF program. Presenter: Yogesh Rajkotia.
