Why support A Taste For Life?
Because there is still no cure for AIDS!
A Taste For Life is a unique fundraising event that has been helping men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS for 11 years in Ottawa. The restaurant you choose to dine at will donate 25% of the cost of your meal to Bruce House and the Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation. There are 47 restaurants in the Ottawa region alone and we are now in 22 cities in Ontario as well as in Calgary, Alberta. Funds raised from A Taste for Life enable us to provide care and education for people affected by HIV/AIDS.
The Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation:
The goal of the Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation is to establish, build and maintain a financial resource available to organizations dedicated to AIDS education, prevention, direct or support services, primary care and/or the expansion/ enhancement of existing AIDS services
Bruce House:
Since opening our doors in 1988, Bruce House has grown to provide supportive housing and compassionate care to people living with AIDS. This is accomplished through our 7 bed Westboro house with 24-hour care, and through our 40 rent geared to income apartments in the Ottawa region. Our growth enables Bruce House to not only provide a safe place for their clients, but to improve their living skills and grow towards independent living.
So please join us on April 28th! It's simple, find a restaurant you love or have always wanted to try out, phone some friends, family, coworkers and make a reservation.
