Canadian AIDS Society 2011 Federal Election Website
Canadians will once again be heading to the polls for the fourth time in seven years after the Harper
government fell last Friday due to the lack of confidence from the opposition parties.
Following the budget presentation delivered by the government on March 22, 2011, which failed to include
key issues that affect Canadians, it is essential for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS to make their voices heard to candidates
which is why we have created a special election site for you to use as a reference tool.
CAS encourages you to call, write and attend all candidate meetings to raise the points covered in our backgrounders on the
many issues listed on the Election Website relating to people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
We ask that you report back to CAS on any commitments given so that we can provide a follow-up post-election. We will keep
you updated with any developments and will send more information via email.

and in Canada's future.

Canadian AIDS Society
The Canadian AIDS Society is a national coalition of over
125 community-based AIDS organizations from across Canada. Dedicated to
strengthening the response to HIV/AIDS across all sectors of society, we also
work to enrich the lives of people and communities living with HIV/AIDS. We
accomplish this by advocating on behalf of people and communities affected by
HIV/AIDS, facilitating the development of programs, services and resources for
our member groups, and providing a national framework for community-based
participation in Canada's response to AIDS.

Site électoral de la SCS pour l'élection fédérale 2011
Les Canadiens et les Canadiennes iront aux urnes pour la quatrième fois en sept ans après la défaite du gouvernement
Harper vendredi passé à cause
de l'insatisfaction des trois partis de l'opposition.
Suite à la présentation du budget par le gouvernement le 22 mars 2011 qui a échoué à s'occuper de problèmes clés
qui affectent les Canadiens et Canadiennes, il est essentiel pour les personnes vivant avec le VIH/sida et celles qui sont
autrement touchées de faire entendre leur voix et c'est pour cette raison que la SCS a crée un site électoral à utiliser
comme outil de référence.
La SCS vous encourage de faire des appels, envoyer des courriels et de participer aux réunions des candidats et candidates
pour les engager en présentant de l'information sur les enjeux pertinents publiés sur le site électoral concernant les personnes vivant
avec le VIH/sida et celles qui sont autrement touchées par l'épidémie.
Nous vous demandons de contacter la SCS s'il y a des engagements confirmés pour que nous puissions vous donner une critique
après l'élection. Nous allons vous gardez au courant avec des nouvelles électorales et plus d'information sera envoyer par courriel.
