POZ GAY WORKING MEN'S DINNER GROUP CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY
1st YEAR ANNIVERSARY DINNER
MONDAY JANUARY 25, 2010
5:30 - 8:30pm
Started in January 2009, the Suits Poz Gay Working Men's Dinner Group began in response to a need
for a support program for HIV-positive working men. The program, run by and for gay poz working guys, is part of
the British Columbia Person's With AIDS Society (BCPWA) Wellness
Promotion Programs. The group will celebrate it's one-year anniversary with a special dinner on January 25th, 2010.
The monthly Suits dinner takes place at various restaurants in the Vancouver area and offers working
men an opportunity to build community and combat isolation and stigma. Suits provides a forum where HIV poz men can
meet other professionals and have a positive influence on the community.
Part of the success of Suits can be attributed to the overwhelming support of the group's vision and as it
grew has evolved to include outings like kayaking, hiking, and a day at the horse races.
Suits supports the community by patronizing gay and gay friendly restaurants for their monthly dinner,
visiting a different restaurant in the Vancouver area on the last Monday of the month.
Suit's first anniversary dinner party will take place Monday January 25th, 2010 at Milestones in Yaletown.
