The Patient Clinic offers the residents of British Columbia online access to their medical record
and the ability to dialogue online with their physician. thepatientclinic.ca currently provides access to laboratory results, medication lists, Q&A dialogue, journal, and a library of articles written or approved by Dr. Elliott.
Users of thepatientclinic.ca are encouraged to nominate a physician (eg family physician, specialist or other physician) with whom to share their data. This service is offered free of charge.
thepatientclinic.ca utilizes state-of-the-art 256-bit encryption to deliver the same level of data encryption security employed in standard online banking. The Patient Clinic runs on a standard web-browser - users require
no more than an authorized account, a PC (your choice of Windows®, Macintosh® or Linux®) and a broadband connection. No application software installation or upgrades are required. Elliott Meditech's servers host the The Patient Clinic application and store your patient data in an anonymized format.

Send thepatientclinic.ca a copy of your laboratory test results
When a result matching your BC PHN# is received your verification will be complete.
You may have a copy sent by:
a) asking your physician to cc (carbon copy) "The Patient Clinic" on your next lab requisition.
b) asking the lab staff, at the time of the lab test, to send a copy to "The Patient Clinic".
c) asking your physician to have his/her staff phone the laboratory and to say "please send copies of all results in the last 3 months via Excelleris to The Patient Clinic".
Note: only lab results copied to "The Patient Clinic" will be visible at thepatientclinic.ca.
