Vancouver, BC: November 26, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will
be singing safer sex themed Christmas Carols along Davie St as part of AIDS Vancouver's month
long public education and awareness campaign, Positive Change Red
Ribbon Campaign.
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are a non profit public education and outreach group that use street performance, drag and catholic
imagery to call attention to sexual intolerance. The mission of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is to promulgate universal joy,
expiate stigmatic guilt and serve the community.
Dressed in red ribbon themed habits The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will serenade Davie St. onlookers and patrons in Davie St bars
and coffee shops promoting safer sex practices before heading to Celebrities night club for a Red Ribbon Night in
support of AIDS Vancouver's month long campaign.
The Positive Change Red Ribbon Campaign is a multi faceted public awareness and
education campaign with cultural, educational and fitness orientated events throughout November 2011 aimed to galvanize the Vancouver
Community around the red ribbon in support of those who are living with HIV.
November 2011 has been officially proclaimed Red Ribbon Month throughout
the City of Vancouver by Mayor Gregor Robertson and City Council in support of AIDS Vancouver's campaign. The Positive Change Red RibbonCampaign encourages
the Vancouver Community to be involved in opportunities to Prevent | Act | Support during the month long campaign, wrapping up on Dec 1 2011,
